ACT-CC is a research study testing whether providing daily acupressure (that is acuPRESSURE, not acupuncture—so NO needles) can help reduce symptoms during treatment for cancer or when receiving a bone marrow transplant.
Specifically, the study will test whether providing daily acupressure will reduce nausea and vomiting, pain, and fatigue and improve well-being. Getting acupressure might help with symptoms and might not—that is why we have to study it. The study is a randomized controlled trial.
